Lodging & tour rates for Clarissa Falls

All our rates are quoted in U.S. Dollars. We accept Belizean & American cash, travellers' cheques in American funds, and MasterCard & Visa credit cards. There is a $1 entrance fee to enter Clarissa Falls (guests are excluded).

This fee includes admittance to and helps support our Wildlife Sanctuary. Clarissa Falls cares for injured & orphaned birds before their release back into the wild. See a range of possible species including parrots, toucans, curassows, herons, wild ducks & turkeys when you visit!

Lodging

You can find more information about our accommodations on our lodging at Clarissa Falls page. Our rates are reduced during the off season, May to November. All our bathrooms have hot & cold showers; all our rooms have standing fans in them. Student group rates are available, and vary according to the size of the group & the duration of the stay. A room & 3-meal plan is available for students only for approximately $45 per person. Please contact us if you have any questions.

• Suites - Two double beds, two twin beds in separate bedroom; kitchenette; living room; private bathroom; fully-furnished - $175 per night
• Cottages - One double, two twin beds; private bathroom - $37.50 per person, per night
• Camping - Bring your own gear; bathroom & shower available close by - $7.50 per person, per night

Maya ruin tours

Travel to various Maya archaeological sites in & around the Cayo District. Rates do not include entrance fees to archaeological parks. (Entrance fees for most archaeological parks are $5 per person). A minimum of four people may be required for certain tours. Packed lunches & drinks are available for an additional charge.

• Cahal Pech, San Ignacio - $20 per person
• Caracol, Mountain Pine Ridge - $75 per person
• El Pilar, Bullet Tree Falls - $40 per person
• Tikal, Guatemala - Special package: $77 per person, includes transportation, departure tax fees, park fees, guide & packed lunch (a minimum of four people is required). Transportation only to & from Tikal is available for $50 per person.
• Xunantunich, San Jose Succotz - $20 per person

Nature tours

Take in some nature and travel to some of these points of interest in & around the Cayo District. Rates do not include entrance fees to parks or zoo. Packed lunches & drinks are available for an additional charge.

• Belize Zoo, Western Highway Mile 29 - $50 per person
• Blue Hole National Park, Hummingbird Highway Mile 43 - $50 per person
• Guanacaste Park, Roaring Creek Village - $50 per person

Boating

Enjoy a boat ride down the Mopan River and see many examples of the local flora & fauna. Our two most popular routes are listed below; longer trips are available, please ask. Distances are approximate and time is variable, based on river conditions. We will be happy to drop you off & pick you up, as necessary. (If you don't feel like boating, you could always try tubing.)

• From Xunantunich Maya ruins to Clarissa Falls - 2½ miles, 1½-2 hours
• From Clarissa Falls to Calla Creek village - 1¾ miles, 1-1½ hours

Rate: $40 per two-person boat (life-jackets included)

Horse-riding

Take a ride on one of our fine horses for a unique guided tour to the unexcavated ruins of Buena Vista, once the private jungle estate of a Maya king, or to the majestic ruins of Xunantunich. For some real adventure, ride as a cowhand on our working ranch, helping out real cowhands! Coming soon - a bull-riding show!

Please give us one day's notice to arrange tours. We ask you please contact us at least three weeks in advance if you wish to work as a cowhand as this can only be organized when there is work to be done.

• Half-day tour to Buena Vista Maya ruins - $40-$50 per person
• Half-day tour to Xunantunich Maya ruins - $40-$50 per person, entrance fee to Xunantunich, $5 per person, is not included
• Cowhand at La Clarissa Ranch for a day - $150 per person

Nature walk

Go for an early morning light hike through the local rainforest & over Maya ruins with Chena as she points out indigenous plants and their medicinal uses. This is also a great walk for bird-watching and spotting other wildlife.

Rate: $10 per person

Overnight at Sonidos de la Selva

Spend two nights in the jungle with Chena at Sonidos de la Selva de la Tierra Carnal. Enjoy the rustic accommodations & atmosphere and see Belizean flora & fauna in their natural habitat. Learn how to make traditional Maya food as you participate with the cooking.

Rate: $150 per person

Swimming

Take a break from the heat and come for a refreshing swim in the cool pools by Clarissa Falls.

Rate: $1 per person, guests excluded. Life jackets are available for rent for $3.

Tubing

Ultimate Golf

Our Ultimate Course has 5 challenging holes and a "play it where it lands" rule. Each player gets 1 ball and their choice of 1 club only. Caddies/ball-spotters are available for an additional charge.

Rate: $10 with $5 ball deposit, per person

Other rates

Airport shuttle

Our shuttle leaves Clarissa Falls Resort in time for you to be at the Philip Goldson International Airport two hours before your flight. Please make your reservation at least one day in advance.

Rate: $90 per 1 to 4 persons

We would be happy to help you arrange local car rental. Please contact us for more information.

Laundry service

Let our staff take care of your laundry needs while you enjoy Clarissa Falls & the Cayo District.

Rate: $10 per load

Picnic grounds

Come visit us and be surrounded by the beauty while using our tables & grill from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM daily for your own picnic.

Rate: $4 per person

Special events

We have a large gazebo that is available for special events. Seating for approximately 60 people. Great for retreats, church services, weddings, anniversaries or other special occasions. The Clarissa Falls staff is available for catering at additional cost. Please contact us for more information.

Rate: $250 per day

Weddings & anniversaries

Have your wedding in one of the most unique locations in Belize - or the world! Celebrate your special day at Clarissa Falls and rent all cottages, the gazebo & restaurant for your hosting needs. The Clarissa Falls staff is available for catering at additional cost. Please contact us for more information.
