Come visit Clarissa Falls!
Experience the enchantment of our ancient Maya culture, explore the exciting & varied landscapes, and
come discover adventure. Wander
through lush tropical rain forests and relax during tranquil evenings. Take a relaxing dip in the Mopan River. Have a drink at
our open-air bar & a light bite to full meal at
our restaurant, served under a
thatched-roof pavilion atop an old Maya temple mound.
A few resident "pets" add to our ambience. There's a beautiful toucan - the national bird of Belize - a cheeky
parrot, and other various wild birds that
call Clarissa Falls Resort their home for a time. And of course there's Apollo, the large goose who will no doubt
follow you around!
What can I expect?
Clarissa Falls is a family-run resort and an
absolutely great place to stay for the whole family. We are located in a beautiful country environment far from neighbours,
within the property of La Clarissa Ranch. When
staying here, don't expect televisions
& radios, just the gentle sounds of the waterfalls located right next to the resort. Pet animals roam freely and can
sometimes be found hanging out not far from our main buildings. Birds fill the trees & patrol the river, while lizards
& iguanas find sunny branches to sleep on. Echoes of howler monkeys roll over the hills. Light fragrances from nature and
succulent scents from the restaurant tickle your nose. The days are filled with sunshine and gentle breezes join the star-filled
nights.
Where are we?
Located in the north foothills of the Maya Mountains and on the Mopan River, Clarissa Falls Resort is about
four miles southwest along the Western Highway from San Ignacio and then about a mile northwest off the
highway; the turn-off is just past highway mile marker 70, at the green bus stop. We're also about 6 miles from the Guatemala -
Belize border, to the west. To see where we are, visit our
map & directions page. If you would like
more information, please feel free to contact us.
